KTT students - active community
There are only a few days left until the start of the Kramatorsk Public Budget project submission stage (from November 1), so the team " Active Community of Kramatorsk " (Oleg Kucherov and Igor But, who promote this tool of participation in educational institutions of the city), on October 18, 2018 held a training-seminar on "Public Budget" for almost 40 students of Kramatorsk Technological College. And, although the representatives of the technical school have already won the competition of public projects, most of the participants of the meeting, unfortunately, did not hear about the local program of the Public Budget.
At the training-seminar, together with the students, they analyzed the stages of the Public Budget of Kramatorsk, the main conditions for submitting projects and examples of mistakes last year. In addition, much attention was paid to the explanation why do we need this mechanism of direct democracy. We emphasized the need to take responsibility for ourselves and our city, and later for the country. Namely, using such excellent tools as the Public Budget, to influence the development of communities both in the material sense, improving the infrastructure and appearance of the city, and in the social sense, improving the dialogue with each other and the authorities. They tried to convey the benefits of this tool from various angles, including the example of the implementation of projects to explain how the government works, what is limited in their work. Such an understanding is needed to build constructive cooperation between the people and the government.
As always, they were invited to take a more active part in managing their own community.
For the second meeting after the event, students come and ask how you can use this program to start your own or shared business with friends. First, we recommend finding other sources of funding (provide examples), as the terms of the Program do not provide for such a project format. Secondly, we remind you that from active participation in the life of the city, for example in the formation of community development strategy, directly increases the increase in the labor market and opportunities for self-realization. Everything in life is interdependent and interconnected.
At the meeting, we announced and invited participants to the Forum-Marathon "The Role of Citizens in Political Reforms", which has already started and will be held in Institute Respublica / Institute "Republic" by the end of the year in more than 30 cities of Ukraine. In Kramatorsk, the Forum Marathon is scheduled for November 29, 18.
