Embroidery day at KTT
On the third Thursday in May in Ukraine Embroidery Day is celebrated as a holiday designed to preserve and promote the ancient folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered Ukrainian clothes. Traditionally, this holiday was joined by the Ramator Technological College.
Students prepared reports and presentations about features of traditions of different regions and other interesting facts about the Ukrainian embroidered shirt. Teacher Kolomiytseva Nina Borisovna together with future fashion designers from 46 groups spoke about the symbolism of embroidery, the relevance of the use of folk motifs in modern clothing, as well as presented their own embroidered products created during special items.
And everyone who wanted to learn more about the embroidered shirt could get acquainted with the book and information exhibition "My Ukraine is embroidered" in the library of the technical school.
